Sara Fragione, BA
Sara Fragione is a Ph.D. student in Psychological and Medical Anthropology. Her research pertains to lived experience and meaning-making among individuals with chronic and terminal illness. She is also interested in how different forms of medical treatment and healing practices tie into, disrupt, and transform understandings of the self and the body. Before joining the UCSD Department of Anthropology, Sara received her B.A. in Anthropology with a modification in biology from Dartmouth College, where she was a Eric Eichler 57' Fellow for Healthcare Leaders.
